The Van Doren Rubber Company was opened in 1966 by the Van Doren brothers and their partners. The company consisted of a factory and shop that enabled the personalization of shoes. Their first shoe was the # 44 now known as the Vans Authentic. The thick soles and the durability of the materials meant that the shoes were compared to Sherman tanks. In the 80s and 90s of the last century, Vans released the iconic Sk8-Hi and classic briefs. By entering into a long-term partnership with Supreme in 1996, the brand has been able to reach many people. Nowadays, the shoes are loved by the skate community, but have also made its way into popular culture through collaborations with Marvel, David Bowie and Nintendo among others.
We want to offer people basics that can take their everyday look to another level. It is also important that these basics are comfortable and in this case Vans is the right brand for that. The use of durable materials combined with careful construction provide comfort for a longer period of time. In addition, the sneakers can be combined with everything due to their classic black and white palette as well as vibrant colorways. So whether you're going for a monochromatic or colorful look, these sneakers are sure to put the finishing touches on.
