The north face

The North Face is van origine opgericht als een winkel voor klimuitrusting in San Francisco. Tijdens een hiking trip bedachten de eigenaren om een eigen merk op te richten. Vandaag de dag brengt het merk een zeer groot aanbod op de markt door zich naast klimuitusting ook te specialiseren in in kleding binnen het outdoor segment. De jassen van The North Face werden tijdens de koude wintermaanden in New York tijdens de jaren ’90 ook populair binnen het streetwear segment. Dit vloeit tot vandaag de dag door met onder andere collaborations met sneaker en streetwear merken.
