Puma was founded in 1924 by Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. The two brothers didn't get along and in 1948. They split and formed two separate perfomance wear companies, Adidas and Puma. Within the sneaker world Puma is particularly know for the suede basketball shoe, the Puma Clyde, which was introduced in 1968. Since then, Puma has brought very innovative footwear, such as the Puma Disc in the 1990's.
